    June English was born in Dover, Kent in 1936. As a mature student, she read English and History at the University of Kent, followed by an MA in Humanities. She is presently Poet in Residence to Sing for your Life.

    She has published a chapter in Writing Your Self: Transforming Personal Material (2009) by John Killick and Myra Schneider published by Continuum.

    Her first collection of poetry, Counting the Spots (2000) published by Acumen was short-listed for the BBC ‘New Voices’ programme. The Sorcerer’s Arc (2004) her first full collection was published by Hearing Eye, London, NWX 2RX 2008
